Topic 1.10: Who is responsible for improper transportation of food products?

Safe transportation of food is the carrier’s responsibility. In practice, however, it is primarily in the producer’s interest to provide consumers with safe, high-quality food. That is why it is important, when ordering transportation, to be very specific about what requirements must be met during transport and what action must be taken in case of problems along the route (accident, diversion, unexpected stop, etc.). Keep in mind that the conditions for transporting food apply to both the loading and unloading area and the interior of the vehicle.
