Topic 3: Familiarity with Use by date and Best Before date


Consumers frequently believe that the 'best before' date and the 'expiry date' are the same thing. Foods that may have passed their "best before" date are typically thrown in the garbage because of this. Even so, it would still have been entirely edible. So then if the ‘best before date’ is different with the expiration date, what does it all mean? How can we work together to prevent food wastage?
